Lake Mburo is one of the largest five lakes that are near by the wetlands, and it accounts for only 20% of this unique lake found in western Uganda.
The park covers only 370km² yet it has 5 lakes within. It’s situated between the towns of Masaka and Mbarara taking you about  4 hours to get there. Lake Mburo National Park is  the only place where you can spot the impalas in Uganda, antelopes as well as the Elands. There are also many herds of buffalos and Zebras with in this national park.Some of the activities to be carried out will include, game drives in the park, boat cruise on Lake Mburo to view hippos and crocodiles and optionally nature/ community walk around the areas of the park.
 As you advance to Masaka through scenic drive, you make a few stop overs one possibly being at Mpabire a place for making local drums and another stopover is at the Equator to do simple experiments such as the water experiment to determine the south pole and the north pole as you are proceeding to Lake Mburo. Another activity to be done the park is community walk as you pay a visit to the locals and the pastoral communities.
Normally during the morning game drive, you go looking out for the zebras the common park occupants of the park, the water bucks, antelopes, topis, impalas, warthogs, buffaloes, giraffes and many more. There is also another exciting safari for a scenic boat cruise on the lake Mburo where you get to view the crocodiles and hippos.
